I am a dedicated counseling professional who will provide you with a safe, authentic and productive counseling experience.  Let me tell you about myself.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).  I received my Bachelor of Arts degree from Eastern Michigan University and my Masters in Counseling degree from Oakland University.  I have worked in the field of mental health for over 35 years.

In that time, I have worked in a variety of mental health programs including; Detroit Psychiatric Institute, as a Recreational Specialist; Walter Reuther Psychiatric Hospital as a Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Coordinator; and with Macomb County Community Mental Health Services as a Case Manager, a Therapist and a Clinical Supervisor.

For most of my career, I have worked with dual diagnosed individuals and have significant experience in both individual and group therapy.  I have provided therapy to people of all age groups and have experience in working with individuals that have a history of trauma, mood disorders including anxiety and depression, bi-polar disorder, schizophrenia, personality disorders, relationship issues, and issues with concentration.  I also have my own special interests due to my personal experiences.

My personal life is filled with many common experiences that connect us as human beings.  I am a member of the LGBTQIA community and as such, want to ensure a safe, secure, validated, space to share your feelings and issues without fear of being judged.

My life experience has also provided me with the responsibility of caring for aging parents as they transitioned and I know the hardship and joy this journey provides.  Through these experiences, I have realized that people need reflective support and tools to help them through difficult times.

I would like to be the counselor that can help you sort through a difficult time and provide a healing and empowering journey to finding your best self.
